Coventry This Sat Postponed

Coventry Saturday 21st April - POSTPONEMENT It is with deep reluctance that we have to advise the postponement of the event Scheduled for Saturday 21st April at Brandon, Coventry.

After torrential rain throughout the week the track at the moment is extremely wet - and the forecast is for more torrential showers over the next 48 hours including hail and thunder, particularly between 4.pm and 8.pm Saturday night.

Tonight’s [ Friday ] Elite League Speedway Derby between the Bees and Swindon has, due to heavy track and weather forecast, been postponed.

As a promotion we never wish to `postpone’ an event and can only work with the forecasts which can be both accurate and sometimes wildly inaccurate.

The biggest issue is that decisions need to be made at least 24 hours before an event to allow time to advise as many people and drivers as possible and, inevitably means taking a calculated decision based upon forecasts and probabilities that can sometimes alter 24 hours later.
