Booth and Venni Head Stock Car Points

07/03/2012 22:28

The 2012 Stock Car Season began in fine style at the Norfolk Arena on Saturday night.

The early leader of the 2L Stock Car Track Championship is Lincolnshire Ace 570 Simon Venni who came close to defending the Clive Grief Memorial. Simon has a five point lead over the driver who won the Clive Grief Memorial - 51 Paul Licquorice.

Defending points champion 499 David Aldous is just outside the top ten after the first meeting but expect him to be on a march upwards soon!

The leading star grade driver at the moment is 219 Luke Grief in eighth place.

216 Dan Booth has signalled his intention to reclaim the silver roof as he is the early leader of both the National Points ad the King's Lynn Track Championship. Booth put in a great performance to take a win on Saturday night. 447 Richard Hampshire looks like he will be going back to red soon as he currently lies in second place whilst white top and new Clive Grief Memorial winner 144 Dean Bristow capped off a stunning night for himself by currently residing in third place in the National Points and a change of roof colour is guaranteed for Bristow come 1 May.
