All Jaguar Banger Meeting set for King's Lynn in 2013

18/04/2012 15:30

The meeting format may have been done before, but after numerous requests from drivers, big cats will go on the prowl around a shale oval for the first time on Saturday 16th March 2013 when all Jaguar Unlimited Bangers will start the National Banger season at TSR at the first King’s Lynn Banger meeting to count towards the 2013 points.  The meeting will be open to any rear wheel drive Jaguar model (or Daimler counterpart) meeting the ORCi National rules minimum weight for Unlimited Bangers.

The meeting will feature the usual range of Merit and Entertainer of the Race awards which form part of all National Banger fixtures at King’s Lynn but specific awards on the night will also include a Best Material award for the coolest cat.  In the event of there being more than one example of the most unusual Jag on show then other factors such as presentation, original running gear, etc may be taken into consideration and obviously the other cars will be high in the running for other merit awards.

Expect a big variety of Jaguars to be in action at next March's all Jaguar meeting

The best presented Jag on the night will take a trophy for being the cats whiskers and as well as race winners trophies, the driver scoring the most points across all races on the night will get a commemorative trophy for being the cat that got the cream!  Finally, we will be celebrating the diverse nature of car culture at this meeting and with the rat-look being a significant part of the modified car scene we will also be presenting a worst-dressed award to the Jaguar on the night which is truly cats a***!

There is no entry fee to race at this meeting but drivers not holding an ORCi 2013 National Banger license will need to take out a day license at the normal rate.  Bookings will open for this meeting at the end of this year.
