Sat 27 March Preview
25/03/2010 11:36The BriSCA season moves into top gear this Saturday 27 March (6.30pm) when three full contact BriSCA Stock Car Formulas will be in action - BriSCA F1 & F2 Stock Cars together with the BriSCA MiniStox.
An explosive night looks on the cards with around 30 F1 Stock Cars, over 50 F2 Stock Cars and a mid 30s turnout of miniStox all set to do battle.
The F1 entry includes a double figured entry of Star Grade Drivers including local Superstar 16 Matt Newson who will be full of confidence following his final victory at Belle Vue a week ago. Also in action are fellow superstars 515 Frankie Wainman Jnr and 2 Paul Harrison who will be making his first appearance of the season.
55 Craig Finnikin currently leads the F1 points and he will be looking to continue the great for he has shown this season whilst 4 Dan Johnson, 259 Paul Hines, 84 Tom Harris and 380 Steve Cayzer are all amongst those likely to be in the hunt for major honours.
There will be plenty for F1 fans to enjoy with 5 races on the programme with the meeting kicking of with the traditional White & Yellows Race before 4 "all in" races - and with a double figured entry of stars programmed for each of them there should be plenty to keep fans amused!
BriSCA F2 Stock Cars also return to the Norfolk Arena, for their second fixture at Kings Lynn for this season.
The winner of the opening date was 507 Craig McInerney, and that victory was enough to clinch his return to the ‘B’ grade, and he will consequently be wearing a yellow roof when he takes his place on the grid.
After one Kings Lynn meeting, McInerney shares the lead in the Track Championship with National Points Champion 38 David Polley, who again plans to be present. The entry also includes World of Shale Champion 606 Andrew Palmer, former Novice of the Year 186 George Turricki, and two more star names who missed the opening Kings Lynn – young charger 78 Henry King and former World Champion 401 Barry Goldin.
125 Craig Kendall and 431 Andy Gibbs, who were each disappointed to have had to make late cancellations from the 6 March fixture, are due to make their first Kings Lynn appearances of the season.
369 Ben Atkinson, who won the start of meeting White & Yellow grade race, but who then rolled over in the meeting final, is set to head back to East Anglia from his north west base. 335 Danny Chapman will travel from the same area, in order to make his track debut.
Completing the action are the BriSCA MiniStox whre over 30 cars are booked for action.
