Latest Unlimited Icebreaker News

The latest list of confirmed teams for the Icebreaker – which takes place at King’s Lynn on Sun 4 March (1pm) - appears below. Following some changes to Team Black, the Predators, Bad News and Mr Men together with DWO withdrawing due to some bans being issued at Wimbledon, we now have 34 confirmed teams which is made up of 133 Unlimited Banger Drivers.
Whilst this may be slightly down on the 168 originally booked in for the meeting, it is still a tremendous total of Unlimited Bangers and is made up of a big range of teams covering the entire spectrum of the sport.

We are delighted to still have the support of so many Unlimited Banger Drivers after having two enforced cancelations due to the weather and then further drivers and teams having to withdraw as a consequence of receiving ORC bans. It is worth noting that only two Unlimited Banger Meetings anywhere in Europe had more than this total in 2011 – and one of those was the Icebreaker with the other being the Unlimited World Final! The third best attended meeting was at Emmen with 116 cars and the fourth was the EA Teams at Mildo with 106 cars so there is still plenty for Banger fans to look forward to come Sun 4 March! And the even better news is that the long range forecast does not have a damm snowflake in sight (Hope we are not eating those words in a week!!)

With a small amount of space available in the pits we have now added a limited entry of Lady Bangers which will give the Unlimited Banger Drivers some additional repair time. Bookings are still available for this.

Despite this being the most expensive Unlimited Banger Icebreaker that has ever been staged with big costs from two aborted meetings together with a smaller than usual crowd being expected due to the change of dates and unfortunately having to now clash with other events, as a goodwill gesture we are offering the opportunity for fans to save up to three pounds.
 

Adult and OAP prices have now been reduced by £1. People who bought advance tickets on the web or over the phone will have this reduction automatically refunded to their cards. There will also be a voucher in the A4 32 page Souvenir Magazine (which will also be given free) which will give two pounds off adult admission for the Unlimited Banger East Anglian Final on Easter Saturday 7 April – which by the way is already shaping up pretty nicely indeed!! Don’t forget as well that there are discount advance tickets for the Icebreaker currently available on the web which can save you even more money including the special super saver ticket which gives adult entry to both the Icebreaker and the meeting the night before which features 2L and 1300 Saloons and an F2 World Qualifier for only £24!
