2L Bangers

Anothher good session of Banger Racing is on the cards on Saturday with around 40 cars expected to race on Saturay night..

Mondeo meetings have suffered a general decline in popularity at Lynn over the last 18 months but the entry for Saturday seems to reverse this trend with additional team-related drivers booked in and a wider-than-usual variety of individual drivers taking to the track too.  Amongst the individuals taking to the track are 148 Shorty who is not known for his love of the Ford Mondeo and also out is 782 Jamie Roberts, no doubt using up his car from the Easter caravan race.  370 Craig Gray is better known for his under 1500cc exploits and another driver more usually found here at Unlimited sessions is 145 The Mad Monk.  It is also good to see 90 Simon Chapman back out in the 2 Litres after taking quite a beating at the last meeting here.

A good showing of Aftermath and Predators are booked in for action this coming Saturday in the 2L Bangers

On the team front, the Predators have a strong entry of drivers as do the Mad Hatters and for the second consecutive 2 Litre meeting we also have a strong entry from Team Aftermath including 603 Jon Cooper who lifted the Commentators Cup at the last 2 Litre session.  No doubt they will have a few crashes with the sprinkling of Team Black expected to be in action with 17 The Little Chief and 383 Chubby booked at the time of going to press although you would have to suspect that there might be one or two more black cars join in to level up the competition. 

337 Ashley Garrod will be one of several drivers who have a busy weekend as they race at both the 2L Banger meeting on Saturday as well as the 1500cc Banger meeting on Monday

Returning to action following a long absence is 311 Golden Boy who will no doubt be fully revved up for action.  Gary has a busy weekend planned as he will be racing in the Figure of 8 meeting on Moday as well as Saturday. He is not alone in racing twice during the weekend though with a whole mass of drivers taking to the track for both meetings.  In the chase for the track championship and silver roof, 390 Gibbo and running mates 392 Baino and 399 Atkin will also be completing the double.  90 Chapman is having a busy weekend racing at both sessions as are 337 Pretty Boy and 338 Wingnut and of course we have 730 Deano competing twice as part of his ongoing (and so far highly effective) onslaught on the 2012 Entertainers League.
